History of Electripair
Founded in 1945 by John Bodnar at a premises in Kensington. John had a talent not only for electrical work but for repairing a wide range of appliances.
He was also a magician, and you might say he had a certain kind of magic for electrical repairs, and he worked in the electrical field for over 60 years.
Electripair expanded its services into areas such as maintaining, testing and the replacement of emergency lighting.
His son Stephen has worked in the business since 1980, where he completed his apprenticeship. Stephen worked with his father on a diverse range of domestic, commercial and industrial electrical services projects. He also has over 30 years experience in all facets of building management, including electrical and air-conditioning maintenance and repairs.
Stephen has completed a Certificate course in Electrical Engineering at Sydney TAFE and a Master’s degree in Building Services at Sydney University. He has extensive experience in renovations and co-ordinating with other trades in a variety of larger and smaller projects.
Stephen's daughter Alana has recently completed her 4 year apprenticeship under the guidance of her father. She is now a fully qualified Electrician. Her background includes Audio Engineering and Sound Production.
